| Programs and activities :- |
|
| Video conferencing |
| In a continuous effort to connect DIETs with GCERT with two way audio/video connectivity, three new DIETs at Bharuch, Navsari and Porbander are connected by Video Conferencing Facility. |

| The DIETs can link up with other DIETs of the Gujarat State. Apart from using this facility as a tool of coordination tool, this facility is also used to utilize services of the lecturer for the DIET where the post is vacant. |

| Tele conferencing |
| With the help of BISAG, GCERT has organized a teleconference for content enrichment of Science, Mathematics of std. 5 & 6 for Primary teachers at DIET and BRC centers across the state. Another teleconference was for PTTI trainees on School readiness programs (new textbook of std.1 & 2) at all PTTI level through DTH system. |

| Use of internet and e-mail |
| GCERT and DIETs are connected through (Gujarat State Wide Area Network) GSWAN. The faculty members do use internet for doing research work or updating their knowledge in respective field and e-mail with which the administrative process can be made possible fast, effective and paperless. All the faculty members are using internet and e-mail. |

| DIETs have launched their own websites as per MHRD Guidelines and NCTE Norms under the guidance of GCERT. |

| EduSat |
| Disc and Computer set up for EduSat is installed at GCERT office. Different programs were organized by NCERT, CIET on CBSC curriculum and NCF-2005 through this facility. |
